Whether you’re interested in a workshop in stone carving, mold making, bronze casting, woodworking, welded steel or many other sculpture disciplines, our online registration process is simple.

  REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Applications for art & sculpture classes are accepted year-round.
To secure a session place, 50% of fees are due with the application, with the balance paid prior to or at the start of the workshop.

In the event that a workshop has low enrollment, announcement will be made two weeks prior to schedule. If a workshop is cancelled all pre-registration money will be refunded in full. If a pre-registered workshop participant cancels, their payment will be returned in full, provided we receive notification at least 14 days ahead of the start date.

EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT - We offer a 10% discount to participants who register two or more months prior to the starting date of the workshop they plan to attend.

NEW FRIEND DISCOUNT - Participants returning to the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center are encouraged to enroll friends and family to share in the experience. We offer a 10% discount on registrations when they are made together.

  FINANCIAL AID

The Carving Studio & Sculpture Center understands that some students and participants are unable to meet the cost of our facilities and programs. For this reason, we offer a variety of types of financial aid to meet participant needs. Artist Residency and Studio Rental programs also provide opportunities for creators to access space, time, and resources at very little cost.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for students of sculpture, stone carving, and other three-dimensional art who require financial assistance. Click here for a list of current named scholarships.

To apply for a scholarship please submit our online registration form, up to 10 images (slides or jpegs on cd) of your work, resume/bio, a statement explaining how this will impact your development as an artist and evidence of financial need by May 1.

Full Fellowships
Full Fellowships are awarded on merit and cover 100% of a session’s fees.

Work Exchange Grants
Work Exchange Grants are based upon financial need and can cover up to 50% of session fees. These work exchange grants involve up to 15 hours of work such as office assistance, studio cleanup or grounds maintenance. To apply for a work exchange grant, please submit our online registration form, information demonstrating your financial need with your workshop registration. The number of grants is limited; therefore early application is recommended.

Accreditation
Serious students of sculpture, as well as school and college instructors, participating at the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center are often eligible for college credit toward under and post-graduate degree work. Interested applicants should contact their educational institution. Castleton State College and Green Mountain College use our specialized facility and expertise to augment their in-house fine arts program.
