The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center inspires people of all ages to create three-dimensional art on the grounds of Vermont’s historic West Rutland marble quarries.
The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center will be a year-round program of workshops, residencies and exhibitions with studio space that accommodates large and small-scale sculptural expression. The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center’s programs and facilities will attract local, national and international artists. The vitality of the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center’s programs will engender financial support from program participants, memberships, friends and local & national art organizations.
Your contribution helps to leverage corporate and foundation support with robust membership at the grass roots level. For example, the United Way partially underwrites the Stone Bench Project, while a three year grant from the Vermont Arts Council offers funding for operations.
