Dry Stone Environmental Art: To Build a Bubble Cluster
May 2 - May 3| Register: $595
The focus of the workshop is on producing a site-specific installation using locally sourced, loose stone. The form to be generated will mimic the shape of a collection of foamy bubbles.
Participants will engage in a process that includes concept development, construction guide layout and the hand – building of a piece of environmental sculpture. Participants will learn about site design and set-up, materials management and the craft of dry stone construction. The completed stony concretion created in the workshop will rise off the CSSC grounds like a cluster of petrified bubbles.
