NEW Multifaceted Copper Fabrication

July 1, 2017

With a focus on materials and techniques of wire, thin sheet metal, copper sheathings and mixed materials, we will dive into the wonderful world of fabrication. Using traditional and inventive approaches to fabrication and linear construction, techniques of pattern-making, cutting, forming, oxy-acetylene welding, silver soldering, cold connecting and stamping will be taught with an emphasis on diverse methods of construction.  Making dimensional objects out of sheet material and linear element offers an endless configuration of form, linear contour and self-expression.

There will be ongoing demonstrations of fabrication techniques, private tutorials with problem-solving strategies. During the workshop information about safety and recycled metals and materials will be discussed, including resources for tools and equipment.
