Artists in Residence
The Carving Studio & Sculpture Center (CSSC) Artist in Residence program brings sculptors from around the world to create new work at our historic campus. Residents become part of our vibrant artist community, sharing in the exchange of concepts, aesthetics and technical expertise.
Juried Artist Residencies are funded opportunities for periods of one to three months, and include tools, materials, housing, and a stipend. Artists may work in a diverse range of materials and techniques; CSSC provides comprehensive facilities for creating works in stone, metal, wood, clay and more.
The 2025 application cycle for summer residencies is now open! The 2025 deadline for submission is March 7, 2025. Applications are reviewed by our Artist Advisory Committee, with selections made in the Spring.
To apply, please email your resume/CV, statement/proposal sharing what you intend to work on while at the studio, a portfolio of up to 10 images, and your requested dates of residence. You may also mail your application materials.
