Preparing Casts for Bronze: July 14 - 18

Dive into the multi-step processes of planning and preparing objects and then molds for various casting techniques. Experience resin and wax casting in class. Learn the necessary final prep, including gating, for bronze casting. Tour the local bronze foundry and leave your gated molds to be cast for you. Participants will learn the material options and techniques of casting, while gaining the required skills to execute successful casts in part or full. Gain the confidence to realize your object designs into final cast sculptures!
