Sculptural Basketry : May 25 & 26

Using traditional coiling techniques, learn how to create a basic basket or sculptural form around a core of stone, wood, clay, and other materials. Bring your own core and coiling materials or choose from provided ones, including marble. Participants will learn about different coiling starts that can be used to successfully incorporate sculptural work and various objects into an art form that is at once ancient and contemporary.
