Traditional & Alternative Finishing Techniques: Aug 3 & 4

This two-day workshop will cover a variety of marble finishing techniques from textural surfaces, to filing, sanding and patinas. Participants will learn about traditional and alternative techniques through demos catering to individual interests. Referencing the ancient practice of polychromy, a range of patinas will be introduced from tea and ink to metal leaf and more. Participants may bring an in progress sculpture to work on or experiment on a block of marble. All skill levels welcome.
