Experience the world of creative metalworking during this comprehensive 5-day workshop. Learn about metal types and selection, and how to measure, mark, cut and prepare metals for a variety of welding and shaping techniques. Gain skills in Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding, plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting and heating, hot and cold forming and shaping, as well as becoming familiar with the hand and power tools associated with working in an industrial metal shop setting.
Participants will be exposed to a variety of finishing techniques to bring their concepts and designs to the finish line. Emphasis will be placed on shop safety, proper use of equipment, hand and power tools. Come explore the creative process through the manipulation of metals!
