NEW Clay Portraiture
October 10 - October 11| Register: $495
Learn how to create a realistic portrait in clay from a live model. A forgiving and easily manipulated material, clay is perfect for blocking in a work that can later be used as a reference for carving; the course concludes with demos and discussions on preserving the clay sculpture and transitioning it into other materials.
9/3/2020 Post note from our instructor: “Due to social distancing guidelines in effect for COVID-19, we will be working from portrait casts instead of a live model during the Clay Portraiture workshop in October. The techniques taught will be identical to those used with a live model. If you have any questions or concerns about this change to the workshop, please contact the CSSC or Amanda (firstname.lastname@example.org), and we look forward to seeing you soon!
